Agribusiness Apprenticeship Program (AgAP)

The Agribusiness Apprenticeship Program (AgAP) is a residential practicum designed for youth agripreneurs across the food supply chain. Held twice yearly in Uganda, it features a unique selection process where applicants choose their mentors, who in turn pitch to attract top talent. The program prioritizes women, persons with disabilities, and youth serving marginalized communities. All costs—including transport, utilities, and field visits—are fully covered. Hosted at St. Lawrence University (SLAU), the week-long program blends expert-led sessions, mentorship, pitching opportunities, farm visits, cultural tours, and networking with private sector leaders, investors, and Michigan State University partners, fostering innovation and agribusiness leadership.
